Lead by Melissa Jones, six members of the AAYBC recently returned from their week-long trip in New Orleans to help rebuild houses with Habitat for Humanity for those affected by Hurricane Katrina. The team joined with others to help rebuild a house for an elderly couple. They swung hammers and put up siding on the house in 90 degree weather.

Two Outs

It was two outs in the top of the first. Willow Cabin was still up to bat against the adults. The score was 70 bizillion to nothing. We had been playing for two hours in the afternoon sun when I made the decision to call a time out for a water break. Although the campers needed the water more than the adults, they wanted to keep playing. But we made them stop because we were tired.
