Christopher, five years old, and I were in the car driving somewhere in Oceanside, California. He was chattering away, asking me a technical question about the new Ghostbusters gun he just got from his grandfather. “I don’t know, honey,” I said to him. Undaunted, he answered, “I’ll ask Daddy. He knows everything.”
Wanting to teach my child that his father was not God, I ventured, “Well, Daddy knows a lot. But there’s only one person who knows everything. Who’s that?” God does give us some of “His knowing.” He leaves it up to us whether to follow His knowing or not. Am I following “His knowing” today?
