On Good Friday, Jesus was crucified and buried. In three days He rose from the dead. Through Jesus we can have new life via three stages. 1. Jesus Died – To enter a new stage in life, we often need death to occur. Ephesians 2:1-3 2. Jesus Rose from Death – In order to experience stage two, life, we need to clear our lives of clutter. We sometimes hang on to sin in our lives because we don’t want to let go and give God control. Ephesians 2:4-7, Isaiah 43:18-19 3. Jesus Wants to Live In Me – In stage three, we can choose an abundant life. God planned a rich life for each of us. However, we have the gift of free will to choose to follow Him or not. Ephesians 2:8-10 and 1:19-23 This Easter we commemorated the death and resurrection of Jesus and remember that we can have new life though Him. By dying to ourselves, we can be new people in Christ. |
